Engineered wood flooring is perfect for those areas of the house where solid wood flooring may not be suitable, such as basements, conservatories or over under-floor heating. Engineered wooden flooring is constructed with layers of real wood pressed together. The real wood surface veneer layer available in many different thicknesses ranging from 0.5mm up to 6 mm and is also available in many different designs and finishes. During the manufacturing process, the layers of real timber run in different directions meaning it is more dimensionally stable than solid wood, but identical to solid wooden flooring in appearance. |
